The ProjectFlow Workflow Designer gives a System Administrator the ability to create workflows, from beginning to end, and to create different versions of an existing one. This allows a SA the flexibility to modify a workflow without affecting current projects, and have the choice to activate it later.
There are three ways to view ProjectFlow's Workflow Designer. The first is at the definition level, accessible to System Administrators only. In this view of the designer, the tool bar used to create a workflow will be available.
Navigate to Admin->ProjectFlow Administration.
In the Workflow Definition
tab, click the View
Versions button which corresponds
to the workflow you want to view. A list of versions will appear under
the workflow definition table.
Click the Open
Workflow Designer
icon for the version you would like to view. A separate window will
pop up with the designer for that definition. By default, the designer
will be zoomed in. Use the Fit
icon
to adjust it to the size of the browser window.
Navigate
to Admin->ProjectFlow
Administration. In the Workflow
Definition tab, click the View
Instances button which
corresponds to the workflow you want to view. A list of instances
will appear under the workflow definition table.
The Workflow Designer is always viewable
to anyone in the workflow's Review Coordinator group. To view the designer,
simply click the Open Workflow Designer
icon. The Review Coordinator is limited to certain activities within this
screen. To learn more, read the Review Coordinator Responsibilities information.
The designer’s name will change depending on which way it is accessed. If it is accessed when creating a workflow definition, the name will be ProjectFlow Workflow Definition Designer. When it is accessed on an individual instance basis, the name will be ProjectFlow Workflow Instance Designer.
