Work directly with Account Executives to engage with clients, assess their needs and recommend Avolve technology solutions that fit the functional requirements of the client. Strategize with the sales team by utilizing knowledge of technology, product development and problem-solving to facilitate compelling solutions to government digital service challenges. Work closely with the Professional Services and Product teams to stay aligned with and communicate changes within the Product.

Job Description


  • Partner with sales on our most strategic clients to uncover a customer’s current and future states and their goals, in order to map an end-to-end solution
  • Support sales with activities such as technical discovery, demos, proposals, presentations and other customer facing artifacts; working across a number of opportunities in parallel
  • Collaborate with the various teams to respond to Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Quote and Statement of Work (SOW) review and completion
  • Draw from previous sales or sales support experience to bring technical knowledge and industry expertise to work through complex use cases and leverage a consultative, solutions-oriented approach to understand and address customers’ specific challenges
  • Help drive demand through participation in both industry-known trade-shows as well account-based marketing events
  • Understand Avolve Software’s offerings and integrations inside and out
  • Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners and colleagues
  • Act as a liaison, collecting feedback from the field to relay back to the Product Development and Management team
  • Share and learn best practices with other Solution Consultants to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies and provide credible thought leadership in the customer experience space
  • Proactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other sales team members and share standard methodologies
  • Viewed as a strategic advisor to Internal and external stakeholders

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 or more years of experience in a technical sales role or in a pre-sales support role recommending IT product solutions to clients, preferably software as a service (SaaS) and working in the State and Local Government (SLG) markets
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
  • Proven experience in the RFP and quoting process with strong written skills, including technical writing and proofreading
  • Adept at providing technical solutions based on customer needs
  • Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate the value proposition and command a room from C-suite down to practitioner
  • Must be detail oriented and good at multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Demonstrated communication, presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English are required
  • Potential Travel: 20-30% – Remote and Onsite Client Engagements
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver and self-reliant

Preferred skills:

  • Preferred strong knowledge of current infrastructure and monitoring solutions and technologies
  • Preferred technical skills to include solid familiarity with HTML, SQL Server and basic networking
  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in Construction, plan review or government services software
  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience working with State and Local Government (SLG) customers
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience with Avolve Software products
  • Previous experience working with multiple technologies
